Bexley Chamber of Commerce

Promoting Bexley Village as a viable service and shopping precinct for over 100 years.

Our Story

The Bexley Chamber of Commerce was established over 100 years ago as Bexley Town Centre was being built. We continue to represent the interests of our Centre  to government and engage with the local business community.

The aim of this website is to draw attention to the remarkable mix of businesses and services available in our Town Centre and encourage the community to see us as a viable alternative to larger centres for services and household supplies.

We encourage all businesses in Bexley to join and participate in the management of the Bexley Chamber of Commerce for the good of our community.

This website has been made possible by support received from the Commonwealth Government under their Stronger Communities Program, Round 6.

Since 1989 there has been a food shop at 444 Forest Road Bexley being first a BBQ chicken shop then a Chinese restaurant and lastly a wholesale dumpling kitchen. Sadly in later years and whilst continuing to trade, the building fell into disrepair to the frustration of others in the Bexley Town Centre community. A week or so ago we noticed that the building has been vacated.

The last proprietor, Bin, was always keen to have a laugh and chat with passers by despite his limited English. We wish him the best for his retirement.

Staff and management of the Community Bank Bexley, supported by their customers, are to be congratulated on the very generous donations to this years Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal. Apparently they have set a new record.
Bexley is indeed lucky to have such a community minded bank where we are always greeted with warm smiles.A huge thank you to our very generous customers, staff, and directors, who contributed gifts to the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal in branch🎄

Over our two week in branch drive, we collected 75 presents.

This will help families who are struggling to give their child a gift on Christmas day 🎁

Your collective kindness highlights the power of community ❤️
